Stone Horse Green
About
Over the last 10 years, Middleton has focused on creating a thriving downtown that’s beloved by both Middleton residents and visitors alike, and a critical component of this is a public green space for anyone and everyone to gather. Normal business hours of the park include 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Stone Horse Green opened in October 2022 and includes an outdoor stage and band shell; a green space to enjoy; space for bistro tables; art installations that are interactive and beautiful; a fire pit; and public restrooms (open on a timer during business hours).
This space is ADA accessible, beautiful and ALIVE. There are so many opportunities to enjoy this space, from sharing lunch from one of the many downtown restaurants to enjoying live music to relaxing in the green space. This is a space for all.

All in the Name
Stone Horse Green’s name is derived by the livery stable that resided in its place years ago (they found quite a few old horse shoes during construction!). To pay homage to its history, the committee decided to incorporate it into the space through beautiful stone horse statues that are actually heated in winter for visitors to sit on!
