Watercraft Rentals
Visit Marshall Boats to rent a canoe, kayak (single or double), stand-up paddleboards (single and family), pontoon boat, or schedule an event, group rental or private party in the summer and early fall. Open 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the fall.
Bring Your Own Boat
here are three access points to Lake Mendota on the west side—Lake Street Boat Ramp (best for kayaks and personal craft), Marshall Park (drop anything in), and Mendota County Park in Westport on the north shore.

Here are a few other ways to get out on the water in Middleton:
- Dip your toes in the water—or dive in—at the beach at Marshall Park.
- Take a hike along the soothing Pheasant Branch Creek at Pheasant Branch Conservancy.
- Cool off at the Splash Pad at Lakeview Park or enjoy the interactive water equipment and waterslides at the Walter R. Bauman Aquatic Center.
