Middleton’s Outdoor Art Trail

From stained glass to sculptures to colorful murals — Middleton's Outdoor Art Trail takes visitors on a journey through the city while viewing its beautiful outdoor art installations and murals. There are 14 total stops throughout Middleton: five stops downtown, four within Greenway Station, and five spread out along Middleton's northern side.

Art Walk Middleton

Join dozens of artists for Art Walk Middleton in downtown Middleton from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 18. This event features a variety of art forms and media created by local artists. More details will be released closer to date.

History

Middleton traces its beginnings to an 1832 fur trading post along the northern shore of Lake Mendota. The Township formed in 1848 with the railroad arriving in 1856. The current depot was built in 1895 and serves as the Visit Middleton Center. Middleton officially became a city in 1963 but still retains its historic charm throughout.

John/Christine Designs has been designing and creating jewelry for 30 years. Their gallery in downtown Middleton showcases their work which includes handcrafted pieces with pearls, diamonds and gemstones.

The Regal Find

Located in one of the oldest buildings in downtown Middleton, The Regal Find offers a specially curated selection of local and regional artists’ work, as well as humorous gifts. You’ll be sure to find something whimsical and unique.

Cloth & Metal Boutique

This boutique in downtown Middleton is owned by artist Lisa McGuire who has a degree metalsmithing. Her shop features women’s clothing and her own jewelry, which she creates from sterling silver, copper, and gold.
