Middleton Hills Park, South
About
This 7.2-acre neighborhood park features an accessible boardwalk that meanders north through its wetland area. There is also a hiking trail east through an oak woodland, which connects to the Pheasant Branch Conservancy West Trail. The park contains a boardwalk and hiking trails that are part of the Middleton Hills Wetland Conservancy Area. This area is popular with birdwatchers and is a stop-over for seasonally migratory waterfowl. Since the park is a haven for salamanders, it’s possible to see them crossing the road into the conservancy area. Also on site is an outdoor shelter, drinking water, an open play area, a basketball court, volleyball courts, youth soccer field and two play equipment areas – one for children 2 to 5 and the other for children ages 5 to 12. Bike parking and on-street parking is available.
