Middleton is excited to welcome the 2022 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championships to Bob Suter’s Capitol Ice Arena March 8-13. [DATE CHANGE–THE EVENT HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK ONE DAY TO MARCH 8]

The best mixed doubles curling teams from across the United States will compete for the championship title. The winners of the 2022 Mixed Doubles National Championship will advance to represent the United States at the 2022 World Championship.

The event is March 8-13 with each day beginning at 9 a.m.

Capital Brewery & Bier Garten, Bier Stube is one of the oldest craft breweries in Wisconsin featuring German-style lagers and hard seltzers. In the summer, the bier garten features live music and an open outdoor patio. Winter months the bier garten is open on select days but the indoor Bier Stube welcomes visitors looking for a local draft.

Open Sunday: noon-6 p.m.; Tuesday-Thursday, 4-9 p.m.; Friday, 3-10 p.m.; Saturday, noon-9 p.m.; closed on Mondays.

Grape Water Wine Bar has a welcoming and charming vibe in downtown Middleton. Sit out on the sidewalk on those sunny days and cozy up indoors any evening.

Hidden Cave Cidery is one of Middleton’s newest businesses when the tasting room opened this past summer, though the cidery has been operating for several years. Middleton native Walker Fanning uses all Wisconsin-grown apples to make his award-winning hard cider.

Open Thursday-Friday, 5-9 p.m.; and 1-9 p.m. Saturdays.

The National Mustard Museum is a gift shop and free museum in downtown Middleton. The museum features more than 6,000 mustards from around the world, as well as antiques and memorabilia. The gift shop is just as quirky and provides fun items for yourself, friends and family.

Open Thursday-Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
